Olivia has a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. Professionally, she has over five years of experience as a teacher and educator.
Olivia has several years of experience mentoring middle school and college students. In these roles, she has helped with career development sessions to assist students in finding their strengths and developing a personal narrative.
Her passion for coaching lies in accompanying students and helping them create a structure so they can feel confident and organized while applying to colleges. She strives to give applicants the opportunity to reflect on their strengths and values when applying to schools to help them present strong applications and gain more clarity about themselves. Her coaching approach encourages students to feel ownership and confidence in what they present. Her guidance provides extra support for their unique skills and story. Olivia’s mission as an educator is to help create the conditions required so that students of different ages can achieve their education goals.
As a coach, Olivia’s greatest strength is helping students naturally arrive at their strengths and narrative through reflection, guidance, and conversation. Additionally, she excels at helping students feel confident about themselves and their process even in the face of uncertainty. She does this by breaking down each step of the application process and creating an organized system through tools like backward planning and individualized plans based on her knowledge and expertise.
When Olivia isn’t coaching, you can find her working on her novel, reading, exercising, or playing the piano.
