Yasmin is a graduate of Brown University. Yasmin’s experience as a college applicant and her involvement in helping her sisters navigate the college admissions process motivated her to start coaching candidates. As a first-generation college student, navigating the application process required her to be resourceful and essentially, coach herself. She used the knowledge and experience she gained to help college candidates successfully apply to and get accepted into their dream colleges. Professionally, Yasmin has experience working at CB Insights, a large market analytics and business intelligence company where she helps private equity and venture capital investors make data-driven business decisions.
Yasmin’s biggest strength as a Quad coach is that she takes the time to get to know her mentees. By learning who they are, she delivers constructive feedback and helps them determine which of their strengths to highlight. Her favorite part of essay revisions and interview prep is drilling down into a piece of the story and pulling out the emotion.
Applicants Yasmin has recently coached have been accepted into Brown University, Dartmouth College, Notre Dame, Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, Vanderbilt, and Columbia University, among other top schools.
In her spare time, Yasmin’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her partner and her family. She lives in New York City and LOVES to eat at new places. She also enjoys taking spin classes twice a week; it’s her favorite form of exercise right now!
